August 3, 2014

Today was a very boring, unproductive day. Generally speaking. I finished another crocheted coaster and added more to my sister's dishcloth. It is now a 6.5 inch square and I texted her to see if she wanted a square or a rectangle. She voted rectangle so I am going to keep going. We'll see where it ends up.

Other things I did today. I read a little bit. I exercised. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and a CoD livestream of some old Machinima guys playing Search & Destroy (SnD). Their ability to play the game is impressive but I tuned in for the humorous banter between Hutch, Fwiz, and OpTicJ. The two best quotes from the stream came from Fwiz. The first was after OpTicJ was unhappy with his performance in a game and threw his controller. Or dropped it. You could hear the crashing sound and then Fwiz asked “Your controller okay, Jay? I heard the batteries fly out of that bitch.” I found that funny. Near the end of the stream Fwiz died and possibly made a bad call out and his response was “That was my fault, I was too focused on my chocolate milk to be honest with you.” Also funny.

Tonight I was in the mood to play a video game but was also not in the mood. That is pretty much what happens all the time. I finally pulled the trigger and decided to finish up LEGO: Pirates Of The Caribbean. Once again a lot of the cutscenes didn't make too much sense because I don't remember the movie very well and I could only vaguely remember the plot. At some point I need to go back and re-watch all the movies. But the game was fun. Even though I technically beat it I am apparently only 51% done with the game. On the first playthrough there are things in levels you can't interact with and areas you can't reach with the default characters. You have to go back in after you beat the level and use Free Play mode to gain access to all your unlocked characters which can be used to fully beat a level. I don't know that I will do that considering I have so many other LEGO games to play, but I might.

I found another spider on me today. I was finishing up the crocheted coaster and had the other one on my knee because I wanted them to be the same size and I was using it for a reference. At one point I glanced down and resting upon the coaster, with seemingly not the slightest care in the world, was a tiny spider. Just sitting there staring at me. What the crap spiders. I managed to get it in my trusty DVD spindle cover and released the spider back into the wild of my backyard. Tomorrow I am thinking of dragging the picnic table out from under the deck and there's a pretty good chance I'll end up covered in spiders. At this point every little random thing I feel or think I feel is assumed to be a spider and I swipe at it like a crazy person. Is it winter yet?
