 I have been yawning all day. Turns out sleep is not overrated.

I sharpened so many pencils this morning. It was awesome. It makes me wish I could open every morning for a week or so and get through all the unsharpened pencils. I ended up stopping after the new sharpener got really hot and I could start to smell it. I don't want to burn out the new sharpener.

My morning ended up being a little different than expected. I emailed the PR lady last night about a maker faire and she emailed me this morning and asked if I wanted to go to a meeting about it forty-five minutes late. My boss said it was cool and someone was able to cover the desk. Five minutes later the PR lady was no longer able to go to the meeting but I still went with someone from our library system. I'm in charge of coming up with something for the faire for our department and the meeting helped me get a better idea of what the faire is all about. It still kind of feels like I'm joining a big project in the middle of it, much like summer reading, but I'll figure it out.

I showed one of the other librarians how to use the giant paper cutter in the basement. Always fun to bring people to the dark side of cutting large amounts of paper at one time.

This afternoon we had a staff meeting. Before the meeting I helped one of the other librarians decorate the boardroom because it was the one-on-one tech lady's birthday. I'm not much of a decorator but I think I did a pretty decent job.

The meeting went well, we talked about a bunch of different things, laughs were had, and then it was almost time to leave. I spoke with my coworkers, including the teen librarian. I had her call the guy I called yesterday and asked for Ryan when his name is Brian. It was nice avoiding that awkwardness.

After work I picked up Qdoba and headed to my Mom's house for dinner. We ate food, watched YouTube videos, and talked about things.

When I got home I emptied the dehumidifier and turned the fans on in the basement. It's supposed to rain again on Saturday, hopefully not as bad as last weekend. But just in case I have no plans of doing anything with the carpet. I think at the very least I'll be waiting until I can get the window well drain unclogged.

I spent the rest of the night watching YouTube videos and livestreams, and clicking around the internet. I also briefly fell asleep in my chair. I'm so tired. It might be a good thing I haven't gotten a more comfortable office chair.

It's now eleven o'clock and it seems like it should be way later than that. I close again tomorrow which means I get to sleep again. I'm looking forward to that.
