This morning it would have been nice if I could have slept in. I
would have liked that.
When I got to work I did all the opening stuff, which included
sharpening a whole bunch of pencils. So many pencils. It was
fantastic.
Today was a laid back day. I started researching getting Kindles for
our homebound patrons. One of my goals is to do the research and
write a proposal so hopefully when can try it out. I also need to
look into grants so we don't have to put a lot of money into it if it
does end up being a thing we want to pursue.
I refined the adulting classes for next semester with the teen
librarian. We switched the police one by adding firefighters and we
chose to go with EMS for the first aid class. The teen librarian is
going to contact all of those services so we can hopefully get on
their calendar early. It would be nice to avoid another delayed
confirmation like we had this semester.
I watched all one-hundred usability videos for the month. At this
point it is kind of pointless because we're rolling out a new website
next month. That's kind of annoying but such is life.
I also refilled displays and probably did other things that I am
forgetting. The best interaction I overheard today was an old man at
circulation. “Do you like children? I like the as adults when
they live far away...” It was pretty funny.
When I got home I ate leftover stir fry and it was delicious. I also
had some homemade bread, which doesn't really go with stir fry, but
still very tasty. I spent the rest of the night doing the same old
thing. I watched videos and livestreams and leveled up a few times
in Tera because the lower levels go by quickly and I am still
in a Tera grind mood apparently. I'm still uncertain about
the priest. Mainly because I haven't put much effort into figuring
out the skills. It's also difficult going solo with a class that
seems better suited for standing in the back of a pack and keeping
people alive. When you're solo you draw aggro, which is not good for
a class not designed for dealing a lot of damage. That's my novice
opinion anyway.
Tomorrow is another day. We'll see what happens.
