This morning I first woke up around eight o'clock, which was less
than six hours after going to bed, so I said screw that and went back
to sleep until eleven o'clock.
After waking up I read a little bit and eventually got ready, loaded
up, and headed to my Mom's house to do laundry. While I waited I
watched Star Trek: Voyager, read for awhile, and took a nap,
because apparently nine hours of sleep wasn't enough.
My Mom followed me back to my house because she found a small
bookcase for me today and it wouldn't fit in my car. I'm not sure
what I'm going to do with it yet but you can never have too many
bookcases.
My Mom also had cornstarch so tonight I was able to make the biscuits
that I wanted to make yesterday. I had the genius idea to use the
dough blade in my food processor and it made everything so much
easier. I had to mix the cornstarch into the flour to make it pastry
flour and instead of whisking it forever I just pulsed it in the food
processor. That also combined all the other dry ingredients. Then I
was able to mix up the yogurt, dill, and scallions in a bowl and
throw that into the food processor. And I would say they turned out
pretty well. They aren't something I will make on a regular basis
but they were good and the whole process made my my house smell
great. I'm a fan of dill.
Tonight I watched YouTube videos, played Tera, and also played
Creativerse. In Tera I didn't really accomplish very
much. It took me forever to figure out how to get to a specific area
in the game and when I finally got to where the map said I had a
quest to hand in, there was nothing there. I spent so much time
trying to get there and then nothing. It was kind of frustrating.
Creativerse is a game I got
quite some time ago, played it for awhile, and then kind of forget
about it. Since I last played it I guess it was officially released.
I didn't really notice that much different about the game. I was
hoping they would add a creative mode in like Minecraft
so I could just build cool stuff without taking hours and hours to
get the resources. That did not happen. I still want a creative
mode but one of their ways of making money is selling block packs,
which people would be less likely to buy if there was a creative mode
where they had access to all of the blocks already. They did at
least add a peaceful mode so I don't have to worry about getting
destroyed by mean things at night or in caves. So that's something.
It is also still very dark during the night, which makes the game
unplayable unless you throw down a bunch of torches because as far as
I can tell there isn't a way to hold a torch while walking. I tried
doing things at night a couple times and ended up falling into a cave
every single time, so eventually I just ended up tabbing out of the
game during night and clicking around the internet until morning.
Tonight I built a small house on a beach and a tiny house inside a
big tree. I didn't do anything beyond collecting resources and
simple crafting. I just wanted some mindless fun.
While I played Creativerse
I was watched a series of videos with Lewis and Sips playing Albion
Online. I watched them the
first time almost two years ago I think. I saw a trailer today and
learned the game is being released in a month and it looks like it
has potential. It looks very tedious and grindy, which I kind of
like in a game. I also like that if I wanted to I could just farm
the whole time and set up a shop and sell my food to other players
that don't want to farm. Or I could spend the whole time mining and
sell or trade ores to players who aren't mining. I haven't spent too
much time researching it but I'm not sure if it is free-to-play or
subscription based. I know there is premium status, but I'm not sure
how restrictive it will be without paying a monthly fee. We'll find
out in a month if I still remember the game exists.
It is now after two o'clock in the
morning and I need to record my audio journal so I can go to bed.
The goal will be to wake up at least somewhat early so that I am able
to go to bed at a decent time tomorrow night. We'll see what my
morning self thinks of that plan.
