Another day spent at the old house. I didn't make it over until
around noon and only put in around four hours of work but stuff got
done. I finished the shelves by my computer and my desk. Also
pretty much finished going through stuff downstairs. I still need to
weed out a bunch of stuff. It's time to make the hard choices and
start throwing/giving away more stuff. That will start tomorrow
hopefully.
I looked forward to spending my night watching TV and playing Fantasy
Life. And that is what I did for most of the night. I was going
to watch the Doctor Who marathon but I ended up getting stuck
on a Mike & Molly marathon. I only just recently saw the
show for the first time and I enjoy it. In my game, I got a new pet,
a bird, and caught a whole bunch of fish, while advancing the story a
little bit and leveling up a few times.
A little before 10:30PM my friend texted me and said his girlfriend
wanted to go out so he was going to come pick me up. Around 10:45PM
we headed to a bar, one on this side of town because the usual ones
on the other side of town would have been completely nuts with New
Years stuff. The bar we went to was kind of busy but not packed. It
still took almost fifteen minutes for my friend and his girlfriend to
get a drink, which seemed a bit excessive. My friend and I spent
awhile playing shuffle board, I think that is what it's called, and
it was pretty fun. I wasn't very good at it but it was still fun.
Better than just sitting or standing around doing nothing.
Regardless, our time eventually ran out on the table and my friend's
girlfriend's interest in gong out quickly went away so we ended up
leaving the bar about five minutes before midnight. Personally, I
would have waited at least until midnight but whatever. I got to go
back home and play my game again. And watch The A-Team. It
is apparently an extended edition because there have been several
scenes that I've never seen before.
Last night I hung out with my friend and her boyfriend. Tonight I
hung out with my friend and his girlfriend. In neither instance did
I feel like a third wheel but it did make my lack of a relationship
more apparent. I would say that should be my New Years resolution
but I really don't want to put any time into that. I've got school
to worry about. Although I'm also not getting any younger so I
should probably attempt to juggle.
