This morning I was supposed to have breakfast/lunch with one of my
friends but something came up so that didn't happen. Instead, I met
my sister over at my grandma's earlier than we had originally
planned. We ended up putting pretty much everything back where we
originally found it. For the most part. My dad said to leave the
stuff and make a list but the only reason we had pulled stuff out in
the first place was because we thought my aunt and grandma had
already taken everything they were going to take and that whatever
was left was in jeopardy of being sold. Learning otherwise, we put
stuff back. My sister was still upset about getting into with my dad
yesterday so she wasn't even the least bit interested in making a
list. So I put some of her stuff on my list just to be safe. I am
still in the mindset of wanting to protect the things my grandparents
made from being sold and keeping them in the family. I don't know
how likely the selling situation actually is but since it was
mentioned once, I feel justified in being slightly afraid of the
possibility. After putting everything back we sat around and talked
for awhile, mostly about childhood memories, before parting ways.
I pretty much spent the rest of the day editing the scans I made of
my grandma's book. It took forever but I eventually managed to
finish it. I think it looks good. The whole process was extended
longer than it should have been when I tried adding a plugin to Gimp
so I could save a multi-page PDF. I messed with it for a really long
time and in the end only ended up getting an error. This left me
adding each page into a Word document and saving it as a PDF. I had
to do this a few different times because I kept noticing bits I
needed to erase from the pictures. I'm finished now, though.
While working on that I watched YouTube videos and eventually stuff
on Netflix. I started by watching the movie Equilibrium
with Christian Bale and Taye Diggs. Not a great movie but it was a
fun movie. The jackets and the fighting reminded me of The
Matrix but it wasn't nearly as
good in terms of plot or quality. After that I marathoned the first
season of Archer.
Such a funny show. I'm a fan.
With my schedule cut back at the
theater my days are all screwed up. Tomorrow is apparently Tuesday
and I work two o'clock to eight o'clock. That is a normal shift in
the other positions at the theater but not projection. It has been
years since I've had to work that shift and I hate it. Mostly
because it interferes with dinner. I like eating around six o'clock,
not sometime after eight o'clock. Oh well.
