Well, I jinxed myself and slept like crap last night. I fell asleep
for about twenty minutes and woke up completely refreshed and not
tired in the least. I hate when that happens. Around sometime I
gave up and read a book for about an hour. I probably got to sleep
around three o'clock and then woke up a few times after that. Not
cool.
Despite that I woke up early and got my haircut before going to work.
My workday was very unproductive in terms of work. Everything was
working so there wasn't anything for me to do. I spent a good chunk
of my day playing LEGO: Pirates Of The Caribbean.
I bought it a long time ago but my installation was messed up and
the game would crash when I first got to the beach, which is really
early in the game. I ended up deleted the game, and maybe
re-downloading it, but never got around to playing it again. So, I
downloaded it on my laptop last night and hoped for the best. It
felt like it was advancing a bit fast but it turns out all the movies
are in the game, not just the first. That was a surprise that
probably could have been avoided had I ever read anything about the
game. I decided to call it good after I played through the first
movie and I might go for number two tomorrow.
I spent the rest of my time at work
playing Minecraft. I
spawned in a badass spot, maybe the best I've ever had, and I decided
to build my house in a mountain because it had a natural opening
about halfway up. I built stairs up to it and have a small exterior
part coming out of the mountain. I then started digging out a big
space in the mountain. I haven't quite decided how I want to layout
the inside, if I'm going to go for big rooms or break up the big
spaces with smaller rooms. I do know that I want to do different
levels and have hallways going to various parts of the mountain. It
almost looks badass in my mind.
I started reading another Book Fair
book but that was only while I was waiting for movies to start. I
was too tired to read for too long and it was too hot upstairs. It
was over 100 degrees outside today which meant it was close to that
on the hot side and in the mid-90s on the cool side.
When I got home the air conditioning
was making a weird clicking noise, kind of like a sparking sound.
Just to be safe, it has been a night without AC. My room was
somewhat cool to begin with so I kicked my ceiling fan on all the way
and I will probably turn my floor fan on when I go to bed. It is
getting warmer and sleeping in any sort of heat tends to suck.
Hopefully my current state of near-exhaustion will be enough to help
me ignore the heat.
Tonight I watched some YouTube
videos and a livestream while looking at Ikea furniture. It was a
fun night. Now I am trying to hold off until ten o'clock before I go
to bed. I'm super tired but I am trying to avoid another night of
feeling super tired but being unable to commit to a full night of
sleep. At least tomorrow I have the opportunity to sleep an extra
hour. I'm looking forward to sleep.
