Once again, not a lot going on. I looked more at graduate schools
but still have yet to pull that trigger and take actual steps to
applying. I did make the final commitment when it comes to my
Colorado trip next weekend and bought a concert ticket. So now it is
official, I will be attending the concert on Sunday and flying back
to Kansas on Tuesday. This trip isn't quite as extreme or spur of
the moment as my drive to DC with my friend several years ago, but
the pace of the decision making process involved with this trip is a
bit faster than I would normally do things. I tend to do research
long enough for me to lose interest in whatever I'm researching.
*cough* graduate school *cough*. I just need someone to crack
the whip.
Along the productive front, going along with the concert ticket, I
paid my phone bill, scheduled a haircut, exercised, and wrote my
monthly report for my volunteer thing. So I did have a fairly
productive day I guess. But not a very exciting day.
I also played a little Cube World
and some Battlefield 3.
I still like a controller better than the mouse and keyboard in
Battlefield 3. You
can be way more accurate and precise with the mouse and keyboard but
I am still overwhelmed by all the buttons. Which all comes down to a
lack of experience, but it is frustrating and hard to put in the time
when I have already put so much time into the game using a
controller. It is a handicap and hard to put up with when I know I
can pick up a controller and be way more successful at the game. But
I'll probably still dabble.
Tomorrow I have a haircut and my
friend is coming into town so we will all probably hang out tomorrow
night and I am looking forward to that because the three of us
(including my other friend who is still in town) don't get to hang
out together that often anymore. Hopefully it won't be a crazy late
night because Wednesday morning I have a computer training thing to
go to for school. I'd like to be at least half awake for that.
