 I took notes today, because it seemed like a random enough day to require a bit of note-taking.

When I got to work I reviewed my newspaper article one more time, which was good because I found a 'form' that was supposed to be a 'from'. That would have been embarrassing. I think that was the only thing I changed before sending it off to the newspaper. It's not due until Wednesday but I was worried I'd forget about it by then, and now I don't have to worry anymore. Other than wondering if they will spell my name correctly. Still a little sore about that.

I wrote a post for our staff blog about the class tomorrow night encouraging people to come because registration is still low. We had such good numbers for the first two classes then it just dropped off. Not quite sure what happened.

I printed out my display signs and then had to do some further editing and try again. The fence on my DVD sign was messed up so I had to add another layer but you can't even tell, so mission accomplished. I also made a tiny sign to put on the backside of my display upstairs. I borrowed the template from a sign I made the last time I had that display but forgot to change the title, so it was a “scary” sign but the title said 'Gardening'. Not quite what I was going for. That sad part was I didn't notice it until after I had cut it out.

Before I was on desk I had enough time to pull books for that display and sometime this afternoon I was able to take down the old display and put up mine. It won't check out very many books but I still think it is a solid idea. After I got it setup I went down and pulled DVDs for the DVD display. I want to feature horror and suspense pretty heavily and I'm interested to see how well that goes over. I'll probably tweak it as the month goes along to make sure DVDs keep moving.

I started my monthly report but didn't submit it because it felt a little rushed and I wanted to check it over but ran out of time. It's still a little weird that it's October already. I also finally sent the survey for the last adulting class. Just shy of two weeks after the class. I will do better with tomorrow's class.

After work I stopped at Target on the way home. This was mostly because I was out of cheese sticks, but they were out of the big bags so I had to get a small package. Not cool Target. This means I'll have to go back in a few days. Or I could just eat pieces of the block of mozzarella I bought when I got cheddar for my brown rice and broccoli cakes. Choices.

When I got home I ate leftover pizza for dinner and watched YouTube videos. I nearly caught up with the videos I missed over the weekend but now have a bunch from today I didn't get to. It's not really stressful trying to keep up with videos but it was nice not being tied to my computer watching videos over the weekend.

After dinner I continued watching videos and finished writing a letter to my friend. My Pilot Plumix is kind of a pain to write with for long stretches because the ink doesn't always flow that well. I'm wondering if it has something to do with me taking it apart to clean it. I might do it again and let it dry out for a few days and try again. There is also the possibility that the Noodler's ink isn't a good fit of the pen. Who knows.

It is now getting later and I want to record my audio journal and go to bed. I also want to play Terraria but I know that would just suck me in and I'd be up way too late. Instead, I will get to bed at a reasonable hour and then wake up early and play before I got to work tomorrow. A solid, grown-up plan.
