Last night I finished the second episode of the third series of
Sherlock. I can only vaguely
remember the episodes from previous seasons but my first instinct is
to say that episode two of series three is by car my favorite. It
was easily the funniest episode. The mystery wasn't that great but
it really took a backseat to the rest of the episode and I am okay
with that.
Today I watched a couple episodes of
The Big Fat Quiz and a
few episodes of Quite Interesting,
as well as some YouTube videos. And that was my “snow” day. Or
more accurately, my “cold as hell outside” day. I thought about
maybe running some errands but the only thing I really need to do is
schedule a haircut, and I had no motivation for that. I briefly felt
outside when I stepped out on the porch to get my latest pair of
headphones that was delivered today. They area made by Rosewill and
they have vibration in them for the big bass hits, like stuff blowing
up. Definitely gimmicky and I found it annoying when listening to
music but it definitely added something to Battlefield 4.
Initially they are very noticeable and kind of uncomfortable thanks
to be very warm, on the ears rather than around the ears, and the
pressure on the ears, mostly due to the on-ear design. It is more of
a half on, half off the ear design but that still leads to
crushing.When I was knee-deep in the heat of battle I didn't notice
it as much because the sound was very immersive, but I did have to
take them off in between games. It was the same with with the
SteelSeries but those feel a lot better in comparison. I also don't
like the material that the ear cups and headband is made out of.
They feel like they won't last long. So now I am leaning toward the
SteelSeries. We'll see how the third pair are, whenever they finally
get shipped and arrive.
Tomorrow it seems will be the first
day back to work. Finally. The principal sent out an email today
saying the heat wasn't working on one side of the building so the
classes on that side will have to be moved if the heat hasn't been
fixed by tomorrow morning. That'll be fun. I will just be glad to
be out of the house and back at work. Unless I end up freezing my
ass off tomorrow. Then I might feel differently.
