Waking up this morning was kind of
awful. I could have used at least a few more hours of sleep but oh
well. After getting ready I went and picked my sister up and we
headed to our Dad's house. When we got there the house seemed to be
deserted because it was dark inside and no one answered the door. My
sister called my brother and he said he had left already with his
girlfriend but that Dad should still be there. My sister called my
dad and he didn't answer. Then we turned around and he was standing
there being a creeper, looking at us through the window in the door.
From the house we went to the gas
station because my step-mom wanted to get a newspaper. Then we went
back to the house because my step-mom forgot something. And then we
headed out of town. Originally we were going to go to our
step-grandparents house for lunch and then going to another location
for a more public birthday celebration for my step-grandpa. Instead
it was all at the other location, which was some sort of senior
center. There were a lot of family members there, most of whom I
recognized and some of them I didn't because I haven't seen them
since I was a kid, or I had never met them before. It ended up being
far less awkward than I thought it would be, which I think is due to
the birthday not being at the house, which would have been a much
smaller environment, leading to more awkward conversations. We hung
out for awhile, had lunch, and then hung out for awhile longer before
heading home.
With the rest of my afternoon I
responded to a discussion post, played some video games, and cut more
fabric for bookmarks. And after dinner I played more video games and
watched live streams. I didn't get around to making any bookmarks
because I didn't want to have to go back and forth between sewing and
ironing. All the up and down wasn't very appealing. Mostly because
the drive out of town today was not kind to my lower back. It has
actually been feeling better that last couple of days so it is kind
of annoying that it hurts again. I need to just set up a tray behind
me for ironing so I can sew, spin around and iron, and then spin back
to sew. Maybe next time.
There are so many things I want to
do and get done this week and I am afraid it is going to go by way
too fast. I need to spend a decent amount of time on school stuff
but I would also like to be productive in other things. Tomorrow I
volunteer at the public library in the afternoon and that is the only
thing on my schedule. So who knows what will happen. Hopefully
something worthwhile.
