I planned on sleeping until ten o'clock this morning, seeing as how I
didn't get to bed until close to four o'clock. But I was wide awake
a little after nine o'clock so I rolled with it and got out of bed
because I figured if I fell back to sleep I would have been screwed
trying to wake up later. Basically, all of this means I am tired
now. And have been for the majority of the day.
At work I read a bunch and did a little bit of knitting. I would
have done more knitting but I spent more than two hours turning a
mess of yarn into a ball of yarn. That was a project I was entirely
fed up with about five minutes after I started but for some reason I
became determined to complete the task. And I did. More than two
hours later. Which means I didn't have the time to finish the test
of my next knitted thing but I did get a start. It might become an
actual thing.
Tonight I watched the 50th Anniversary episode of Doctor
Who and it was pretty great.
The interaction between David Tennant and Matt Smith was awesome and
I wish the Doctors would have interactions with themselves more
often. It was also just great seeing Tennant as the Doctor again.
Matt Smith is good and he made it his own but Tennant will always be
my favorite.
And keeping with a good night for TV, I also watched New Girl
from last week and it may have been the best written episode to date.
Coach was going on a date with Cece, Schmidt was trying to stop it,
and Jess was trying to stop Schmidt. While Nick and Winston were off
on a cat adventure. It was thoroughly enjoyable and I laughed out
loud more than once.
I also squeezed in a few Spanish
lessons on food. I did decent. At this point I think I should go
back over all the lessons I have completed so far and see how much of
it I have retained. I have surprised myself more than once with what
I have remembered when I have been asked to write out a Spanish
translation.
While I was watching stuff I did
some research on the 3DS XL. Yesterday I really got into the idea of
getting one, mainly to play Ocarina Of Time
again. And Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
After all my research tonight I added several more games to that
list as well a developed a bit of jealousy for the exclusive color
releases of the device in other countries. The desire to get one is
still going strong two days in but I'm going to keep mulling it over
and see if it is a real thing or just a flash in the pan. I might
dig out my Nintendo 64 tomorrow and play the real thing.
