I actually slept decently last
night. It felt strange. It is nearly eleven o'clock now so
hopefully tonight goes as well. This weekend I need to work on my
project that is due on Sunday night so I probably won't get the
chance to sleep in. Unless I knock most of it out Saturday and feel
safe enough sleeping in Sunday. I don't see that happening though.
Today there was more testing.
Three, wonderfully boring tests. I could write about them but I want
to sleep so let's just say they were just like all the other tests
with slight variations. When I wasn't watching tests I edited a
couple baby pictures and spent a lot of time trying to figure out the
library clerk's printer. Her computer was horribly slow, to the
point of being unusable, and they finally replaced it but she
couldn't get her printer working. I did a whole bunch of things
before lunch, and cutting into my lunch, but had to leave because I
had just enough time to eat before the next test.
The timing this afternoon worked out
really well, though. I started my lunch at 12:35PM and one of the
kindergarten classes was supposed to come in at 12:25PM, which I
totally forgot about because I was caught up with the printer.
Thankfully, the teacher also forgot because I hadn't set anything up,
and I didn't actually remember until about 12:45PM. The test at one
o'clock didn't actually get started until about ten after and there
were a couple kids that were taking a little longer than everyone
else. I got them started on their second test but was going to have
to stop them when the second kindergarten class showed up. But, that
kindergarten class wasn't having a very good day and they were about
ten minutes late, which allowed just enough time for both kids to
finish. Everything worked out.
At the very end of the day I went
back to the library to check on the printer situation and it was
working. So we're going to say I did something worthwhile in all of
the tinkering I did earlier in the day.
Tonight I watched the Neebs
livestream and read over the Information Literacy Competency
Standards for Higher Education, which is what my project is over. I
have to pick a standard and design a promotional piece geared toward
undergraduate students. I've got a couple ideas so I'll be thinking
real hard about those tomorrow during testing, hopefully having some
brilliant insights and writing down ideas.
