 I slept in this morning and it was fantastic. If only I could do that every day.

I only had time to write one paragraph of my interview paper before lunch but that is still better than nothing. I worked on it for the rest of the afternoon and was able to finish it before dinner, granted my dinner had to be a little later than usual.

After dinner I read some more copyright stuff and then went through the tutorial so I could take the quiz. I think it took me two times to get all the questions correct. I made an assumption on one of the questions and it bit me. I got a second questions wrong because I only picked one out of the two options, and it counted it correct anyway, but I went back a third time and switched that. Copyright is a tricky thing and it seems like something that will be a constant in my life as a librarian.

When I finished the quiz I responded to someone who had responded to me on the discussion for thread for the week. I want to make two more posts tomorrow. That's the goal anyway.

I also need to write a statement of purpose tomorrow for the chance to go to the ALA conference this summer as part of a class. The chances of getting picked for that are slim but it would be a great opportunity and much like the scholarship I just applied for, it can't hurt to try. And, for better or worse, the statement of purpose can only be 250 words long.

I played more with Hexels and figured out a couple new things. It would be nice if there was a community out there that was as big and active as the Gimp community because it would make finding tutorials and information a lot easier. For the time being a lot of the functions of the program and what I want to do with it will just have to be found out through trial and error. Much like playing a video game before the internet had really caught on.

Tonight after everything was done I relaxed with some laid back music (Made in Heights) and played Crashlands. I mostly farmed resources but I also completed a side quest which unlocked some cool things. I also unlocked the recipe to enlarge one of my pets for the second time and I already had the materials so I was able to do that. And I figured out that the fish food item was actually a seed that you can plant in water to create your own fishing spot. Now I don't have to go searching for fishing spots spread out across the map because I put eight in the big body of water right outside my back door. I also made the trinket that increases the number of fish in the water. Hooray for fishing.

Now it is time for bed. Tomorrow I am going to sleep in (hopefully) and then figure out my statement of purpose and respond to a couple discussion posts. I also need to read through my paper one more time before submitting it. I should be able to knock all that out in the morning but I'll drag it out throughout the day. If I do get done and have the time I would like to mess with Hexels some more, maybe jump into the Unreal Engine, and possibly sew. There is a lot of potential for tomorrow. Generally not a good sign because that just sets me up for disappointment, but we'll see how things go.
