My timing going to work today wasn't the best. It was barely
sprinkling when I went out to my car but started pouring about
halfway to work. Thankfully I managed to avoid all puddles on the
walk to the building so my socks remained dry.
I only had a few classes in the lab today and a lot of time on my
hands so I went back up to the resource teacher to get more stuff to
cut. I laminated a few things, and cut out a bunch of letter die
(dice). I worked on this on and off throughout the day and managed
to cut out and assemble all but six of the die. To assemble them I
first glued it together and then taped it. Just to be safe.
I also scanned a bunch of art for this year's card art. Every year
parents can let their kids turn in a piece of art they have done,
which we then turn into cards and sell them to raise money. Last
year the art teacher scanned them and I used Publisher to turn them
into cards. This year the new sixth grade teacher is going to use
Photoshop or something to turn them into cards. I think. I don't
know. The librarian asked me if I could scan them. So I did, and
edited the colors a bit in Gimp so they looked more like the original
because everything seems to lose color when it is scanned. At least
with the scanners I have used.
On Wednesdays I normally go to Chipotle and Jimmy John's on the way
home but today it was pouring rain after work and I didn't want to
deal with that so I went home and waited for it to pass over. Which
is did pretty quickly. My burrito was pretty good tonight. By the
way.
Tonight I played a bit of Terraria
before getting annoyed once again by a lack of Halloween drops. I
then jumped into Minecraft
and harvested all my trees and stuff in my garden. The animals in my
pens are still disappearing so that is a bummer. I think I have
decided to just cheat in an animal spawner for each animal that I
want. I still want to make my aquarium (which will be pointless in a
way with the animals disappearing), possibly make a barn surrounding
my animal pens, and make an orchard.
My RAM arrived yesterday so my
computer went from 4GB to 12GB. I haven't really done much to test
it out but I can now maintain a really high FPS with a Far render
distance in Minecraft,
with many web browser tabs open. So there's that. I am happy with
the purchase.
Tomorrow is Halloween. I have no
plans. My only goal is to find stuff to do at work. Last year I
think I played a bit of Left 4 Dead 2
to celebrate the day. I'm not sure what I will do this year. Maybe
watch a movie. Or not. I'll find out tomorrow.
