December 23, 2017

Last night I slept horribly. I'm not sure what happened. I went to bed close to three o'clock and I feel like I didn't really fall asleep until around five o'clock, I got up around ten o'clock and didn't really feel very rested.

I spent the rest of my morning and into the afternoon wrapping presents. It takes awhile because I use at least three layers, which really adds up. It also makes it really appealing to switch to only using one layer.

While I wrapped presents I watched two Christmas movies on Netflix. I finished watching Christmas Inheritance, which I watched the first few minutes of last night. Another feel-good, cheesy Christmas movie. Then I watched El Camino Christmas, which is a dark comedy (sort of) and really just depressing in general. I probably won't be adding that one into the rotation.

After the wrapping and movies I think I was part tired and part bored, so I went and laid down in bed for awhile. I drifted in and out of sleep and it was kind of nice just laying there for awhile.

For dinner I made past and when I was opening the bag of elbow macaroni it exploded and the noodles went everywhere. Somewhere less than half the bag went across the counter and on the floor. I'll probably be finding macaroni for years to come.

I played CoD: WW2 after dinner and I think a lot of kids got it for an early Christmas present. I played a few games of War and they were filled with players who had no idea what they were supposed to be doing. It made it easier in some respects but it also made things more unpredictable, which made it more difficult. Still fun though.

My friend showed up sometime after nine o'clock, right as I finished my last game of War. Perfect timing. We sat on the couch and talked for over three hours, about all the things, with Fred Claus and then music on in the background. I don't get to see her very often, or any of my other friends, so it's always nice when we get the chance to hang out for a little bit.

She left around 12:30AM and I am now watching Fred Claus for real while writing this. I'm not going to make it through the movie tonight, I'm only about halfway through, but there is always tomorrow when I get home from my Dad's house.

I'm going to record my audio journal now because I'm really tired. And hopefully I will be able to fall asleep tonight because I have to wake up to go to my Dad's. Some snowflakes were coming down when my friend left and I'm hoping none of that plans on sticking because I'm not ready for driving in the snow. Or more accurately, other people driving in the snow.
